Neurotoxin Wrinkle Relaxers

Neurotoxin Wrinkle Relaxers
About Neurotoxin Wrinkle Relaxers

Botox®, Dysport®, Xeomin®, and Daxxify® are non-surgical solutions to smooth fine lines and wrinkles, giving you a refreshed and youthful appearance. Designed to target common aging concerns like crow’s feet, forehead lines, frown lines, slimming of the jaw, dimpled chin, gummy smile, lip lines, neck lines, and so much more, wrinkle relaxers work by temporarily relaxing the muscles responsible for these lines. This quick and effective treatment is perfect for those looking to soften their features and restore their natural glow without downtime.

How It Works

Wrinkle relaxers, also known as neuromodulators, work by temporarily blocking nerve signals to the facial muscles. This relaxation of overactive muscles reduces the appearance of dynamic wrinkles—the lines caused by repetitive facial movements like smiling, frowning, or squinting. Over time, these muscles relax, leading to smoother, younger-looking skin while maintaining a natural range of expression.

How long does it take?

Treatment takes 10-15 minutes depending on treatment areas.

After Treatment Care

Avoid strenuous exercise for the rest of the day.  Skip facials and massage of the area for three days.

What to Expect

Results will be seen in 3-7 days and last for 3-4 months. Minimal pinpoint bruising is possible.

Common Questions
  • Does it hurt?
We use the smallest needle possible, so it feels like a small pinch.
  • Are wrinkle relaxers safe?
Yes, wrinkle relaxers like Botox® have been FDA-approved for over 30 years and are widely recognized as safe, especially when performed by a board-certified dermatologist.
  • Will I look “frozen” or unnatural?
Not at all! Results are always dose dependent. Dr. Regula makes a dosage plan according to your goals to ensure a natural, refreshed look while maintaining your expressions.

Hyaluronic Acid Fillers

Hyaluronic Acid Fillers
About Hyaluronic Acid Fillers

Hyaluronic acid (HA) fillers are a popular, non-surgical solution to restore volume, smooth wrinkles, and enhance facial contours. As we age, we lose facial volume in our bone structure and fat. With targeted injections, HA fillers can address concerns like volume loss, fine lines, sagging, and enhance features such as lips, cheeks, and jawline. This versatile treatment delivers natural-looking results, helping you achieve a refreshed and youthful appearance.

How It Works

Hyaluronic acid fillers are gel-like substances injected beneath the skin to restore lost volume, smooth lines, and enhance facial features. Hyaluronic acid is a naturally occurring substance in the skin that attracts and binds to water molecules, creating an instant plumping effect. With precise placement we can improve nasolabial folds (smile lines), plump lips and cheeks, improve undereye hollows, and so much more. Dr. Regula carefully places the filler to achieve natural looking results while maintaining facial balance.

How long does it take?

Treatment takes 15-30 minutes depending on treatment areas and with numbing you’ll be in the office for about 60 minutes total.

After Treatment Care

Avoid strenuous exercise for the rest of the day. Ice the area to minimize swelling and bruising. Skip facials and massage of the area for three days.

What to Expect

You’ll notice a visible improvement in volume and contour right after your session, with full results settling in within 1 to 2 weeks. Depending on the treatment area, fillers typically last 6-12 months. Bruising is possible after the procedure and while it can be covered with makeup, we recommend allowing 2 weeks for it to resolve.

Common Questions
  • Does it hurt?
We use a topical numbing cream to make the treatment as comfortable as possible. You may still feel a small pinch or pressure during treatment.
  • Are hyaluronic acid fillers safe?
Hyaluronic acid fillers have a long safety history however, that safety largely depends on the skill of the person performing the treatment. Hyaluronic acid can also be dissolved with an injectable enzyme if there is an unexpected issue.
  • Will I look puffy or unnatural?
Unnatural filler results are typically due to too much filler being injected and improper placement. Dr. Regula believes in the importance of overall facial balance and not treating one area in isolation.

Biostimulatory Fillers

Biostimulatory Fillers
About Biostimulatory Fillers

We all lose volume as we age, this includes bone mass, fat, and collagen. Biostimulatory fillers such as Sculptra® and Radiesse®, are designed to restore lost volume, improve skin texture, and stimulate your body’s natural collagen production. They are most commonly used for full-face rejeuvenation but can be used anywhere on the body.

How It Works

Biostimulatory fillers contain substances like poly-L-lactic acid (Sculptra®) or calcium hydroxylapatite (Radiesse®), which trigger your body’s natural collagen production. When injected, these fillers provide an immediate lift and volume boost while encouraging the skin to build collagen over several weeks to months. Biostimulatory fillers are perfect for patients who are looking for gradual, natural-looking increase in volume and skin quality.

How It Works

SKINVIVE™ works by delivering hyaluronic acid – a naturally occurring skin hydrator – through microinjections beneath the skin’s surface. Unlike traditional dermal fillers that restore volume, SKINVIVETM focuses on improving skin hydration, elasticity, and texture by drawing in moisture and supporting the skin’s natural barrier.

How long does it take?

Treatment takes 15-30 minutes depending on treatment areas.

After Treatment Care

Platelet Rich Plasma (PRP)

Platelet Rich Plasma (PRP)
About Platelet Rich Plasma (PRP)

Platelet Rich Plasma (PRP) therapy is a natural and effective skin rejuvenation treatment that uses your body’s own healing power to restore and revitalize your skin. PRP harnesses growth factors from your blood to stimulate collagen production, improve skin texture, improve hair growth, and reduce fine lines, wrinkles, and other signs of aging.

How It Works

PRP involves drawing a small amount of your blood, processing it to isolate the platelet-rich plasma, and then reapplying it to your skin through microneedling or direct injections. Platelets are rich in growth factors that promote cell regeneration, boost collagen production, and accelerate the skin’s natural healing process.

How long does it take?

Treatment takes 45-60 minutes, which includes the time it takes for blood draw and PRP preparation.

After Treatment Care

After care depends on how the PRP was used but, typically, you may resume your normal skincare routine.

What to Expect

You may have some mild redness after the procedure. Since PRP uses your body’s own growth factors to stimulate new collagen production, it can take 2-4 weeks to see improvement in skin tone, texture, and elasticity. Typically a series of 3 treatments is recommended and then maintenance treatment every 6 months.

Common Questions
  • Is PRP painful?
Discomfort is minimal. It is no more uncomfortable than a typical blood draw.
  • Who is a good candidate for PRP?
PRP is suitable for all skin types and tones. It’s ideal for those looking to treat fine lines, wrinkles, uneven texture, acne scars, and dull skin.
  • Are there any side effects?
Since PRP uses your body’s own plasma, risks are minimal. Temporary redness, swelling, and mild bruising are the most common side effects.

SkinPen Microneedling

SkinPen Microneedling
About SkinPen Microneedling

Microneedling, also known as collagen induction therapy, is a minimally invasive skin rejuvenation treatment designed to improve the appearance of fine lines, acne scars, enlarged pores, and uneven skin tone. This treatment is suitable for all skin types and is a popular choice for those seeking natural, long-term results with minimal downtime.

How It Works

Microneedling uses a specialized device with ultra-fine needles to create microscopic punctures in the skin’s surface. These controlled micro-injuries trigger the body’s natural healing response, stimulating the production of collagen and elastin—two key proteins responsible for skin firmness and elasticity. The result is smoother, firmer, and more youthful-looking skin. Microneedling can address multiple concerns, including fine lines and wrinkles, acne scars and surgical scars, enlarged pores, hyperpigmentation, sun damage, and uneven skin texture.

How long does it take?

Treatment takes 60 minutes, which includes time for topical numbing application.

After Treatment Care

For the first 24 hours, you should not put anything other than water on the area. After 24 hours you can resume your normal skincare routine.

What to Expect

You will be red after microneedling treatment, similar to a mild sunburn. This is worst the day after treatment and improves over 3-5 days. You may also have some mild dryness of the skin but downtime is minimal. Results can be seen in 1-2 weeks. While the increase in collagen is permanent, maintenance treatments are important as collagen will continue to decrease over time.

Common Questions
  •  Is microneedling painful?
Topical numbing medication helps to minimize discomfort.
  • How many sessions will I need?
For best results, we typically recommend 3-4 treatments spaced 4-6 weeks apart. Maintenance treatment should be done every 6-12 months.
  • Who is a good candidate for microneedling?
PRP is suitable for all skin types and tones. It’s ideal for those looking to treat fine lines, large pores, acne scars, and uneven skin texture.
  • Can microneedling be combined with other treatments?
Yes! Microneedling pairs well with PRP (Platelet Rich Plasma) or serums to enhance results. We will recommend a customized treatment plan based on your needs.

Excel V Laser

Excel V Laser
About Excel V Laser

The Excel V laser is a non-invasive laser treatment designed to target and treat a wide range of skin concerns, including redness, sun spots, rosacea, spider veins, sun damage, and pigmentation. Whether you’re dealing with vascular issues or discoloration, the Excel V laser offers a quick and reliable solution to help you achieve smoother, healthier-looking skin.

How It Works

The Excel V laser delivers a specific wavelength of light to the treatment area to target red and brown. This light is absorbed by abnormal blood vessels or pigmented lesions, causing them to break down while leaving the surrounding skin unharmed. The body’s natural healing process removes the damaged tissue, resulting in clearer, more even-toned skin. This targeted approach leaves the top layer of skin unharmed which means that there is no peeling of the skin or wound care needed.

How long does it take?

Treatment typically takes 15-30 minutes, depending on the size of the treatment area.

After Treatment Care

After treatment, we ask that you ice the area for 20 minutes out of every hour until bedtime. You may resume all of your normal skincare.

What to Expect

You will be swollen after treatment.  The amount of swelling depends on the extent of the area treated and your individual propensity for swelling. Icing the area and sleeping in an upright position can help to prevent swelling as much as possible. Swelling can be significant, is worst the day after treatment, and improves over the next 5-7 days. Some brown spots may also darken after treatment and take 1-2 weeks to fade.

Common Questions
  • Is Excel V laser painful?
Most clients describe the treatment as a slight stinging or warming sensation, similar to a quick snap of a rubber band. A cooling system is used to ensure comfort throughout the procedure.
  • How many sessions will I need?
Typically, 3-4 treatments are needed, spaced 4-6 weeks apart.
  • When will I see results?
Some results may be visible immediately after the first session, with continued improvement over the following 1-2 weeks. Full results are typically achieved after completing all recommended sessions.
  • Do I have to be careful in the sun after laser treatment?
As dermatologists, we always want you to be careful in the sun. It is most important that you are not tan on the day of treatment as this can result in loss of pigmentation.Typically, 3-4 treatments are needed, spaced 4-6 weeks apart.

Chemical Peels

Chemical Peel
About Chemical Peels

A chemical peel is a non-invasive skin resurfacing treatment that helps improve the texture, tone, and overall appearance of your skin. Dr. Regula uses a customized solution of acids to gently exfoliate the skin to treat concerns like acne, fine lines, pigmentation, and uneven texture. Chemical peels can be tailored to all skin types and needs, from superficial peels with no downtime to deeper peels for more significant results.

How It Works

Chemical peels involve the application of a specialized acidic solution to the skin. This breaks down the protein bonds that hold the skin cells together, which exfoliates and removes the damaged outer layers. The depth and recovery process of a chemical peel depends on the type of peel solution used.

How long does it take?

Treatment typically takes 15-45 minutes, depending on the size of the treatment area and type of chemical peel.

After Treatment Care

You should avoid any active skincare until your peeling has stopped.

What to Expect

You will be red after treatment and stop to peel 2-3 days after.  The extent and duration of peeling depends on the depth of the chemical peel.  Some brown spots may get darker after treatment before they start to flake off.

Common Questions
  • Is a chemical peel painful?
You may feel a mild tingling, warming, or stinging sensation during the treatment, but this is temporary and well-tolerated. Deeper peels may involve more intense sensations.
  • How many sessions will I need?
The number of sessions depends on the reason for treatment and treatment goals. Typically, 3-4 treatments are needed, spaced 4-6 weeks apart.
  • Do I have to be careful in the sun after a chemical peel?
Yes, your top layer of skin is removed with a chemical peel and the underlying skin is extremely sensitive to the sun. Sun protection helps to promote healing and prevent discoloration of the skin.

Hair Restoration

Hair Restoration
About Hair Restoration

Hair restoration treatments are advanced solutions designed to address hair loss, thinning hair, and receding hairlines. Whether caused by genetics, hormonal changes, or stress, hair loss can significantly impact confidence and appearance. Our non-surgical hair restoration options, including treatments like Platelet-Rich Plasma (PRP) therapy and other medical treatments, stimulate natural hair growth to restore thicker, fuller, and healthier hair.

How It Works

Just as there are many causes of hair loss, there are also a variety of treatments, which are often used in combination for optimal results.

  1. Platelet Rich Plasma (PRP): A small amount of your blood is drawn, processed to isolate the growth-factor-rich plasma, and injected into the scalp. PRP stimulates dormant hair follicles, improves circulation, and encourages natural hair regrowth.
  2. Topical Treatments: Medical-grade topical solutions may be combined with PRP to maximize results and maintain healthy hair.
  3. Hair Supplements: Nutrafol is a supplement that improves hair growth, strength, and thickness. 75% saw visible reduction in shedding after two months.
  4. Prescription Medications: Oral medications such as finasteride, spironolactone, minoxidil, and dutasteride can be effective depending on the cause of your hairloss.
What to Expect

Common Questions
  • How many treatments will I need?
In reference to Platelet Rich Plasma, most patients need 3-4 sessions spaced 4 weeks apart, followed by maintenance treatment every 6 months.
  • Will my hair definitely regrow?
Not everyone will experience hair regrowth. Maintenance of current hair density is also a treatment goal.
  • Am I a good candidate for treatment?
Dr. Regula will evaluate your hair loss to identify its cause, which may occasionally require a biopsy. A consultation is beneficial for anyone experiencing hair thinning or hair loss.

Botox® for Sweating

Botox For Sweating
About Botox® for Sweating

Excessive sweating, known as hyperhidrosis, can be a frustrating and embarrassing condition that affects your confidence and daily activities. By targeting the sweat glands, Botox offers long-lasting relief, helping you stay dry, comfortable, and confident.

How It Works

A series of small Botox® injections are administered to the affected area. The procedure is quick, safe, and highly effective for managing excessive sweating.
How long does it take?

Treatment typically takes 20-30 minutes.

After Treatment Care

You should avoid vigorous exercise for the next 24 hours.

Cellulite Treatment

Cellulite Treatment
About Cellulite Treatment

Cellulite is a common skin concern that affects individuals of all body types, often appearing as dimples or uneven skin texture on areas like the thighs, buttocks, and abdomen. Despite diet and exercise, cellulite can persist due to factors like genetics, hormones, and skin structure. Procedures like subscission and injection of a biostimulatory filler, such as Sculptra® or Radiesse®, help to smooth the skin for a more even, youthful appearance.

How It Works

Subscission and biostimulatory fillers can be used in the same treatment to improve the appearance of cellulite. Subscission uses a small needle to release tethering under the skin the leads to the dimpling of cellulite. Biostimulatory fillers, such as Sculptra® or Radiesse®, boost collagen production, plumping the skin and improving its texture, which reduces the appearance of cellulite.

How long does it take?

Treatment typically takes 30-60 minutes depending on the treatment area.
